Jemimah Joy. Keeping it simple. Shared wisdom. Shared experience. Plus the random bits too.

My name is not Jemimah Joy. I chose Jemimah because it means ‘little dove’. The dove is a symbol of peace, and I believe that peace is available to us at all times and in all circumstances. Which is kind of crazy, I know. Joy is my strength and my weapon. Laughing is my favourite activity (I stole that line from a 5 year old I know). Finding joy in the darkest places is possible. I hope that you’ll agree.

I have always loved writing, my family are my favourite people, I’ve climbed mountains and jumped off cliffs, I like cats more than dogs (an unpopular opinion, I am well aware), I believe that dancing is the best way to exercise, I’ll read almost anything and find it incredibly difficult to stop reading a book, even if it’s awful, because I hate leaving the characters unfinished, and I spend time every day talking to the Creator of the world, but this really isn’t about me.

I don’t really know who I’m writing for (a confession that all the best bloggers would gasp at), and I don’t really know where this is going. What I do know is that I have a passion and a gift and I want to share it with whoever ends up here. So thanks for dropping by, I’m praying for you to know true love, joy and peace wherever you are.
